Abdul Abubakar, 2007 Young Scientist Winner and his teacher Mr. Jim Cooke visit Claude Shannon Institute
Abdusalam Abubakar, this year’s winner of the BT Ireland Young Scientist competition and his teacher Mr. Jim Cooke visited the Claude Shannon Institute today. Abdul won the competition for his project entitled: “An extension of Wiener’s attack on RSA” which was entered in the Chemical, Physical & Mathematical Sciences category, Intermediate Section.

Claude Shannon Institute’s 1st Quarterly Meeting
The Claude Shannon Institute’s 1st quaterly meeting was held on January 19th 2007 in UCD’s CASL Building. The meeting was opened by Dr. Gary Crawley and Dr. Colm Cryan from Science Foundation Ireland. Some for our industrial partners from Xilinx and NTRU joined us for the day. A list of the talks and the speakers can be found below. There was ample time for disucssion proceeding each seminar and the day proved to be very successful for everyone.
