The Claude Shannon Institute runs National Competition for Third Class Students

The Claude Shannon Institute is running a national competition coinciding with the birthday of Claude Shannon. All primary schools in Ireland were posted a Happy Birthday Claude! poster. The competition targets 3rd Class primary school students and its purpose is to teach the children about Claude Shannon.
More information can be found at: http://www.shannoninstitute.ie/ We have currently received a few thousand replies from 3rd class children all over the country.
