WCS 2009 was hosted by the Claude Shannon Institute from September 1-4 2009 at University College Dublin

The 5th Workshop of Coding and Systems (WCS 2009) was hosted by the Claude Shannon Institute from September 1-4 2009 at University College Dublin.
The aim of this conference was to bring together researchers from all aspects of Coding Theory and Systems Theory and also some researchers from Cryptography. The conference chairs was Marcus Greferath (CSI) and Gary McGuire (CSI).
There were approximately 50 participants from all over Europe.

ECRYPT II meeting and Vampire 1 meeting

September 14-15 2009: Brian Baldwin (CSI) and Luis Dominguez (CSI) attended the general ECRYPT II meeting and Vampire 1 meeting on SHA-3 Hash functions. While there Brian gave a talk on Hash function implementations for FPGA's. The meetings took place in K.U. Leuven, Belgium.
