Claude Shannon Institute Steering Team Meeting
October 27 2009: The Claude Shannon Institute Steering Team Meeting took place at the Crowne Plaza Northwood Hotel, D9. The following people were in attendance: Eimear Byrne, Rod Gow, Marcus Greferath, Liam Marnane, Gary McGuire, Elva O’Sullivan and Mike Scott. Following the meeting an all day in-house working group took place with the entire Claude Shannon team. The focus of the working group was patents (present and future), commercialization and technology transfer.

Gary McGuire (CSI) and Alexei Zaytsev (CSI) visited St Petersburg University
October 14-18 2009: Gary McGuire (CSI) and Alexei Zaytsev (CSI) visited St Petersburg University of Aerospace Instrumentation, on an invitation by Sergey Bezzataev and Efgeni Krouk. The purpose was to establish links between their coding and cryptography group and the Claude Shannon Institute. We can exchange students and researchers.
